Accept

Today in 1997 Accept released the Live album All Areas – Worldwide

Accept is arguably the second most popular band to emerge from Germany, behind Scorpions, and like their countrymen, did a lot of their best work before breaking worldwide. The Breaker and Restless And Wild albums showed the band at their metallic best, blending power and speed metal with just enough accessibility to keep it all together. But it was the next album, Balls To The Wall, that finally gave the band worldwide acclaim, with the style of the band shifting slightly towards a more anthemic sound, kind of reminiscient of AC/DC in places. While the band prospered for many years afterward, they didn't quite match the popularity of that album again. The band broke up early in 1997, during with time vocalist Udo Dirkschneider revived his solo band U.D.O., a project he started in 1986 or so and has been thriving in recent years. The other members scattered to various projects, with guitarist Wolf Hoffman doing some solo work and drummer Stefan Schwarzmann joining Udo for a time. They reunited for a time in 2005 for a 25th anniversary tour, went dormant for a spell, and then came back together in 2009 with a new vocalist, former TT Quick frontman Mark Tornillo. All Areas – Worldwide is a double live album by Accept. It was released in Japan and U.S.A. under the title The Final Chapter in 1998.[3]
The first fourteen tracks were recorded while Accept toured supporting their 1993 Objection Overruled release, while the final six tracks were recorded during support of their 1994 Death Row offering
