 Happy Birthday Daniel Svensson

Daniel Svensson (born 20 November 1977) is the former drummer and youngest member of the Swedish band In Flames, and drummer / vocalist for the band Sacrilege GBG. He was also in Diabolique before he joined in Flames in 1998 to fill the position created when Björn Gelotte moved from drums to guitars. In Flames' first album with him as drummer along with Peter Iwers was Colony, and it was released the following year. He rejoined Sacrilege GBG in 2006. He is also a supporter of the Swedish football team IFK Göteborg. Daniel decided to leave In Flames after finishing up the Europe tour on 20 November 2015. He now brews beer at his brewery outside Gothenburg, Odd Island Brewing.

Svensson left his main band Sacrilege, where he was both drummer and singer, in 1998 in order to join In Flames since Björn Gelotte chose to move from drums to guitars. He played his last gig with In Flames on November 20, 2015, in Engelsdorf, Germany, and retired from music in order to focus on his family life.
